More than a cattery — a family that loves this breed
The Stumptown Coons cattery was built on a foundation with specifically chosen- beautiful, healthy, and loving cats. All of my cats came from catteries with high regard to the continuation of predictable physical and behavioral traits for future generations.
*I participate in extensive testing for all genetic disorders; every breeding cat undergoes an echocardiogram; and I also participate in hip/pelvis testing and xrays.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a kitten and what's included?
Our kittens are $2,800. That includes TICA registration, microchipping, age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, spay and or neuter, 30 days of free pet insurance, a vet health certificate, all the health records, a starter kit with food, toys and a handmade blanket that smells like mom.
How does the waitlist and deposit work?
Once your application is approved, a $100 deposit (applied to the total) reserves your place in line. Families choose kittens in deposit order at around four to eight weeks of age. Deposits are transferable to a future litter if the timing isn't right. Once you have picked your kitten- a $500 deposit (which also applies to the total) is due to reserve him or her.
Do you ship kittens?
We don't ship cargo. We prefer you visit in person, but for distant families we can arrange a registered courier. Kittens typically must be picked up in person or hand-delivered.
What health testing do the parents have?
Every breeding cat has an echocardiogram for HCM and a full breed-specific DNA panel covering HCM, SMA and PKD, plus hip screening has begun in 2026. All results are available to view on request and listed on each cat's profile.
What if we can't keep the cat someday?
Our contract requires that we always get first right of return. We will make every effort to help you rehome your STC cat or take it back ourselves.
